Grand Celebration of the 103rd Anniversary of Philippine Cultural College Inc.

This year marks a monumental milestone—103 years of unwavering commitment to education, cultural preservation, and societal contribution. On June 29th, PCC Caloocan held a grand celebration at Chung Te Memorial Hall to honor its rich legacy and embrace a future of continued excellence.

A Legacy of Excellence and Resilience. Founded over a century ago, PCC has endured and thrived through challenges, forging a reputation as one of the Philippines’ most influential Chinese educational institutions. Its journey reflects a relentless pursuit of fostering Chinese culture, nurturing talents, and bridging communities.

Honoring the Pioneers and Building the Future. The celebration was attended by distinguished guests including Vice Chairwoman of the PCC Board of Trustees, Ms. Mely Chan; Board Director Mr. James Ng; Alumni Association Honorary President Mr. Carlos Tan; and President Mr. Ben Bairan. Leaders, faculty, students, alumni, and parents gathered to pay tribute to the school’s enduring spirit.

The event commenced with a solemn flag-raising and the singing of the Philippine national anthem, symbolizing deep patriotism and national pride. Emcees Teacher Zhao Huan and Mr. Ricky Jay Tenoso led a seamless bilingual program, guiding attendees through a series of inspiring speeches and performances.

Celebrating a Century of Educational Pioneering.  Alumnus and Board Director James Ng delivered a heartfelt address, emphasizing PCC’s foundational mission of promoting Chinese culture and cultivating talents for the nation. He highlighted the school’s significant contributions to Chinese education in the Philippines and its influence in nurturing generations of responsible, globally-minded citizens.

Mr. Ng reaffirmed PCC’s commitment to innovation—deepening curriculum reform, integrating technology, and fostering a new generation equipped with international vision, cultural roots, and moral integrity. He called on all to embody PCC’s core virtues of diligence, honesty, courage, love, and fairness, as they continue to write a new chapter of high-quality development.

Honoring the Spirit and Achievements.  Vice President Dr. Ester Lim expressed gratitude to all supporters and outlined PCC’s ongoing role as a cultural bridge, moral bastion, and educational pioneer. She reaffirmed the school’s dedication to cultivating students with innovation, patriotism, and social responsibility—ready to face future challenges with confidence.

Finally, Dr. Lim sent her best wishes to all students: to have patriotic aspirations, lofty ambitions, to cultivate Chinese cultural heritage in the new era, expand international horizons, dare to innovate and practice, and grow into responsible, socially contributing, nation-building youth—bringing glory to PCC and adding color to society.

Reminiscing the Past. Teachers and students watched a video titled "PCC School History." Yellowed historical photos, precious video materials, and touching stories of struggle vividly demonstrated the school’s development over more than a century—its arduous journey of pioneering, forging ahead, and striving. This deeply enhanced everyone’s understanding of the school’s spirit of “prospering through education, flourishing through culture,” further inspiring pride, mission, and responsibility. The scene was filled with enthusiastic applause multiple times.
